Exactly As You Are Banner.png

Western Cup is, and always has been, a safe space. It's an event filled with friendly competition where everyone is welcome, no matter how they identify. Our athletes are fiercely passionate about their sports and in the way they support and show kindness to one another.

Apollo has always stood for creating safe spaces for everyone to feel welcome and comfortable. We stand with everyone who shares those values and we are committed to supporting those who are oppressed.

No matter what colours are in your rainbow, no matter how you identify, we want you to know you are welcome here. We see you. We celebrate you. We validate you. And we love you for exactly who you are.

Here are the people behind the curtain.

Some of us are local, some are remote, and all of us have a special place for Calgary in our hearts. We're thrilled to be a part of bringing Western Cup to life for you—it's an incredible weekend filled with competition, camaraderie, and friends old and new.

In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge that we live, work and play on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the îethka Nakoda Nations (Chiniki, Bearspaw, Goodstoney), the Otipemisiwak Métis Government (Districts 5 and 6), and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta.  As we compete in our tournaments, we recognize the enduring presence and contributions of Indigenous peoples to this land, honor their rich histories, cultures, and traditions and strive to create an inclusive environment that respects and celebrates the diverse cultures and values of all participants.
