Mosaic Badminton, with the support of Team Edmonton, is proud to announce and present the badminton tournament in Western Cup XLI.

We'll be hosting a traditional tournament, featuring double matches between pairs of adult players of any gender combination at any level. If you are signing up as an individual, we'll match you with a player based on the registration questionnaire responses.
​
For the newer players who wish to participate, we are hosting a separate "Funament" that is capped to 12 participants. You may sign up as a pair or as an individual.
The fun-first event will feature regular tournament style matches and bonus games for participation points. You are expected to know the basic rules of badminton.
​
You can only sign up for either one of the events, not both, as the two streams will occur at the same time.
​
The badminton tournament runs Saturday, 19 April 2025 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at Western Canada High School (641 17 Ave SW, Calgary, AB).

Tournament-sanctioned plastic shuttlecock will be provided

Racquet (rental will only be available to Funament participants)

Non-marking gym shoes are required to be worn
Player fees
​
Tournament: $60 per individual registration
​
Funament: $30 per individual registration (optional $5 racket rental for the day)
Registration closes at 11:59 PM on April 15.
