CELEBRATING FOUR DECADES OF SPORT.

Every spring—41 springs so far to be exact—over a thousand athletes from across the continent converge on Calgarian courts, rinks, lanes, fields, and snow to give their all. Western Cup is a festival filled with fun and fabulosity, with nine thrilling sport tournaments that bring the whole thing to life.

Please note the tournament for each sport participating in Western Cup is run by its own organization. For questions, it’s best to reach out to your sport’s organization directly. You will find contact info for the individual sport organizations in the sections below.

Western Cup is, and always has been, a safe space. It's an event filled with friendly competition where everyone is welcome, no matter how they identify. Our athletes are fiercely passionate about their sports and in the way they support and show kindness to one another.

Apollo has always stood for creating safe spaces for everyone to feel welcome and comfortable. We stand with everyone who shares those values and we are committed to supporting those who are oppressed.

No matter what colours are in your rainbow, no matter how you identify, we want you to know you are welcome here. We see you. We celebrate you. We validate you. And we love you for exactly who you are.

In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge that we live, work and play on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the îethka Nakoda Nations (Chiniki, Bearspaw, Goodstoney), the Otipemisiwak Métis Government (Districts 5 and 6), and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta.  As we compete in our tournaments, we recognize the enduring presence and contributions of Indigenous peoples to this land, honor their rich histories, cultures, and traditions and strive to create an inclusive environment that respects and celebrates the diverse cultures and values of all participants.
